So I’ve been in aesthetics school for almost a month now and I absolutely love it! You know what I don’t love? My busy schedule!
Although keeping myself busy and focused is a blessing in disguise, I still need things that help keep me balanced. Cardio is one of them, and the second is the blush from Tarte.
What’s so great about it?
Website (Sephora) description: Infused with natural clay harvested from the banks of the Amazon River and naturally baked by the sun, this nutrient-rich blush benefits all skin types for a fade-free flawless finish for an amazing 12 hours. Inspired by Tarte’s bestselling shades of cheek stains and lip tints, the colors range from soft to vivid to suit a wide variety of skintones. For oily skin types, Amazonian clay minimizes oil in and around pores to balance skin and keep product in place. Those with dry skin will benefit from the clay’s nourishing and hydrating properties, which naturally restore skin’s moisture. Combination skin types can rely on its ability to zero in on skin concerns and deliver benefits to restore complexion harmony. The result? Blush that wears better, longer, and truer!
This is the Tarte 12 Hour Amazonian Clay Blush and the color is called “Peaceful.”
It’s a soft rose with a hint of coral color and is $25.00 for 0.2oz. *Note- this shade is not available at Sephora or Ulta. It is part of the Glow Your Way to Gorgeous set exclusive to QVC.*
My thoughts: This blush lasts for hours! Although, it doesn’t live up to the 12 hours that it claims, but it lasts a good 9 hours on me (which is quite impressive). It’s finely milled but not too powdery. It has little flecks of sliver glitter, but it’s nothing that’s not daytime wearable.
The blush looks very natural when applied. It also has good pigmentation, slightly sheer and buildable coverage.
I love the packaging (the mirrored compact!) and the design on the blush is a nice touch.
Overall: This has been my go-to blush for a couple of months now. Anytime that I can’t decide what to wear with a green smokey eye or bright purple eyeliner, I pull out Peaceful. It’s never overpowering and always gives a nice flush of color to my cheeks. It doesn’t live up to the 12 hour promise, but 9-10 hours is still suitable for me.
