$7 MAC Paint Pots?

28 Feb

It seems like I’m always in a hurry in the mornings.  After I get done washing my face, I slap some primer on my face and lids, throw on some random colors from my Naked Palette and finish the rest in the car.  Wouldn’t it be nice to find an eyeshadow that’s also a primer?  Well, I’ve found just that.

Lets take a look!  It may save you a few precious minutes in your rushed mornings!

Website description: Dare to wear our longest-lasting shadow.  Our ink technology creates super-saturated color.  Cream gel smoothes on for vibrant color that does not fade.

My thoughts:  I’m very impressed with this formula.  I’ve been wearing it without a base for the past few days and I get a good 8 hours out of it.  Which, really, is about what I get out of most eyeshadow primers (except UD and Too Faced).  It isn’t as creamy compared to the metallic formulas (see my review of Tenacious Teal here), but it still goes on pretty smooth, especially for being a matte shade.  It applies best with your finger (which is how I prefer to apply most cream eyeshadows) but I tried it with my 217 and still got a nice wash of color.

Downside:  For me, there really isn’t a downside for the actual product.  The only thing I would like to change is the color range availability for the Color Tatoo line.  I really wish they had a “Painterly” shade (nude beige).  Honestly, I like these just as much as the Paint Pots, and they’re a 3rd of the price.

Glitter rating: 5 / 5

These are available on Maybelline.com, or at any of your local drugstore.  They are $6.99  for 0.14 oz.

PS- TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!  I have to spend it at work all day, then class at night.  And I also have a test (yuck!).  So be sure to wish me a happy birthday, I sure would appreciate it ;)
