I waited a long time for this foundation came out, I was one of the first in line to purchase it when it finally came to Ulta! Was it worth the hype?
Let’s check it out!
Website (Sephora) description: This natural-finish foundation builds from light to medium coverage for a natural complexion and features light-diffusing properties and hydrating benefits. Its nourishing formula contains Benefit’s exclusive Oxygen Wow Hydrating Complex, which helps boost cellular respiration for a “plumping up” effect, protects against environmental stresses, and contains vitamin C and E derivatives known to prevent the signs of aging.

My thoughts: First thing I noticed, the consistency is a bit thin. Even, watery. Aside from that, it gives decent coverage, light to medium, just like the description says. It is very hydrating and gives more of a dewy finish to the skin. I would suggest using a little less moisturizer than usual (for you oily skinned gals) before applying. You girls with dry skin, you will love how this feels on your skin, it’s like a drink of water. Think, tinted moisturizer in a pump.
Downside: The shade selection, they all have a yellow undertone. For Asian gals, that’s wonderful news. However, I could not find a good match for my half-Asian warm toned skin. I purchased the third to lightest shade (I’m an NC30), and even though it was the best match I could find, it still isn’t right. I have to mix with other foundations to get it to look right on my skin.
Overall: I love Benefit’s marketing on this, it really focuses on the vitamins and the SPF. I love that this has SPF 25 in it, that’s almost unheard of. As far as the “plumping” and “anti-aging” effects that it claims to have, it’s hard to say since I don’t have wrinkles yet (don’t hate me, my time will come). It’s a nice, hydrating, light to medium foundation that is paraben-free. I like it.
Glitter rating: 3.5 / 5 (it’s really a 4, but lost 0.5 due to shade selection)
You can purchase this on their website, Sephora, or Ulta. It is $34.00 for 1oz.
