In most cases, being called a “shady lady” is usually something negative. That’s not the case when it come to theBalm.
Take a seat, and spend some a little time with this Shady Lady.
It’s theBalm Shady Lady Vol. 1 palette.

Packaging: Cardboard square with magnetic closure. It measures 4.5in in length and width, and 1cm tall. It features a large mirror on top. It’s very sleek and easy to throw into your makeup kit.
caught in the act courtney: dark brown with red undertone with copper shimmer.
shamless shana: warm bronze with satin finish.
lusious lani: champagne beige with light baby pink frost finish.
jealous jordana: cool dark forest green with a hint of green sheen.
risque renee:cool medium-dark blue, it looks matte in the pan but has a slight satin finish when on the skin.
curvy cami: warm medium purple with silver shimmer.
jet-setting jennifer: warm muted yellow gold with frost finish.
all about alex: warm olive-green with a slight copper sheen, frost finish.
easy wheesie: cool medium blue with a silver sheen, satin finish.
I really like the colors included in this palette. There are a few neutrals, but the blues and greens are still very usable for an everyday look. There are good lid, crease, and brow highlight colors all in one. My favorite shade is jet-setting jennifer, it’s very unique and versatile. It can be used on the lid, to highlight the brow bone, or in the tear duct.
Formula: Caught in the act courtney has a slight fallout with the copper shimmer. Curvy cami has a dryer texture than the other eyeshadows, it applies slightly uneven. Risque renne does not blend as well as the other shadows. Other than that, all the eyeshadows are smooth, buttery, and blend easily. Very high quality, comparable to MAC and UD.
Longevity: 8+ hours.
Overall: It’s a palette that always seems to make it into my makeup kit, its sleek design and high quality eyeshadows are just too hard to pass up. Another bonus? All of the eyeshadows are formulated without parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOs, and triclosan. A downside, this palette is that it’s really hard to find (I found it here online). If you live near a TJ Maxx (where I got mine) or Marshalls, they typically have theBalm products at a discounted price, but you never know when they’ll have it. You just have to get lucky!
