Here’s some yummy goodness to start off your week:
What if I told you that there was some sugar that didn’t cause havoc on your body? Would you try it out? Cue, today’s post:
It’s the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments!
Website description: A hydrating treatment that nourishes, protects, and plumps the lips. It blends reparative oils and waxes with real sugar, a natural humectant, for delectable and dependable moisture. Sweet and tart black currant oil, rich in plumping essential fatty acids, cushions the lips while antioxidant grapeseed polyphenols and vitamins A, C, and E provide protection from wrinkle-causing free radicals. It also provides essential, year-round protection from damaging UV rays.
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Honey.
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Rose.
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Clear.
Packaging: It’s aluminum metal with a plastic lining. The cap twists off, and you twist the bottom to make the product come up. It’s very sturdy and the cap twists on securely.
Formula: It has a citrus lemon scent, which is very evident when you sniff the tube, but it’s not detectable when you’re wearing it. It feels very smooth, soft, and buttery on the lips. It has of bit of slip to it, but it’s not sticky (like a Lipglass). It’s very moisturizing and contains SPF 15 (bonus!).
Color: The Honey is the most pigmented with medium coverage, it’s a dark coral with a hint of brown. The rose is more red based with pink, with sheer coverage. The clear does not have any color but has quite a bit of shine to it.
Longevity: 5 hours.
Overall: This has been a favorite of mine for a long time, and I have since then been recommending this to clients with dry lips. The downside is the price tag, $22 for 0.15oz. However, this is what I tell my clients: this will replace the $22 that you spend on cheap chapstick that doesn’t work! You can use it as often as you want (unlike some other lip treatments). It feels luxurious and moisturizes my lips perfectly.
Glitter rating: 4.5 / 5
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments are $22.00 for 0.15oz. You can purchase it at Sephora, or here online.
