September Birchbox, 2012

Finally got it in the mail yesterday! Check it out!

What is Birchbox? For $10 a month, Birchbox members will receive a curated box of luxe beauty samples.

New this month, the “Lookbook.” 9 page booklet with beauty tips.

This month’s box is just so-so. This is the billionth perfume sample that I’ve recieved, and since I’m not much into fragrance that doesn’t excite me. The twistbands don’t do anything for my long thick hair (it’s too heavy for the band to effectively hold it in place), but I suppose that’s not Birchbox’s fault. The Dr. Jart sample is pretty tiny (0.1oz), I think I’ll be able to get two uses out of it. I know I won’t use the Madewell gift card, I went to their website and it’s a tad overpriced for me (all of my money goes towards cosmetics…).

I’m most excited about the Color Club nail polish, I love the bright blue! It has nice coverage, the swatch above is just one coat!

I liked my box this month. I got a good color nail polish, some brush guards, a cute twistband, and some other skincare stuff. I’ve had much worse months.

  Agreed. I think they’ve got their act together now, since they put a limit to the memberships. Hopefully we won’t be getting anymore really low quality ones!

After reading this, I’m actually looking forward to my box this month. August wasn’t a favorite of mine. ::sad face:: That Color Club polish is absolutely beautiful! -Just checked my tracking # and it looks like my September box will arrive on the 19th.

I am dying to know what you think of your October BB. I opted in for the Goop Box mine was HORRIBLE. Other than a Luna bar and a beautyblender it was a complete blah box.

  I saw a few of the Goop ones on other blogs, I wasn’t impressed. I wasn’t aware we could opt for the Goop (it was probably an email that I deleted, Birchbox sends too many). I just got the regular box I guess, getting ready to post it soon. So cool you got a beauty blender though, that’s worth more than the $10!
