October Birchbox, 2012

This months box is all about transformation.  Changing up your beauty routine, out with old and in with the new.  I don’t know if anything in this box will “transform” me, but I did get some goodies, including a full-sized eyeshadow.

For additional pics, I LOVE theBalm, and the only place that I can find it (locally) is at TJ Maxx, and even then it’s hit or miss.  I love the eyeshadow, and the packaging is cute!  The Mox lip butter smells delicious (pomegranate and fig, yum).  Haven’t tried the Benta Berry cream on my face yet, but I swatched it on my wrist and it was left feeling velvety soft.  Given that my hair is stick straight, the LiQWd Perfect Wave proves no use to me.  And I actually laughed with I saw the leopard print plastic bag.  Cute, yes.  But a pack of 12 is 10 bucks.  Um… no.  At the end of the day, it’s still a plastic bag.

  1. Ooh the Balm! I Got one of the plastic bags from Birchbox a while ago and loved it it was great for the beach, but $10? Really, that’s insane. The lip better looks yum!

  2. We have the exact same box. Unfortunately, the eye shadow isn’t full size :-( the full sized one is 8+ grams but at least it looks pretty. My box will be coming in tomorrow so maybe I’ll be more excited if I see it in person.

    • I realized that after posting, lol! I had just assumed that it was full sized because of the cute packaging. Oh well, it’s still a good size though! I’m wearing it right now, in fact. I think this box is way better than the “Goop” boxes they sent out this month.
