What a year it’s been already! My blogging schedule has been off due to… well, life. This coming year, I want my blog to include some more personal stuff. So to help me achieve that goal, I’ve taken some photos from my Instagram to share with you guys.
The BIGGEST news: I completed 1000 hour esthetics program in the state of Kansas. In other words… I GRADUATED on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:30am!
I studied hard for my final. I had been there for a year, so some of my knowledge was a little rusty.
I practiced giving the practical part of the exam several times. It involves giving a crappy facial and sanitizing my hands 2,864 times.
After all of that was said and done, I cleaned out my locker. Yes, I took a picture of my locker…
Then, at 11:30am on the dot… I clocked out my last clock hour. Count ’em: that’s one zero zero zero zero, a thousand hours!

After that, we had a little party over lunchtime. We had a “pink” party, so all of the food was pink! Including smoked salmon!
I got pictures with all of my classmates. However, everyone had that “if you show this to anyone I’ll kill you” attitude about their photo. Although my little Margo is always flawless even without a stitch of makeup. She sucks. But I love her to pieces
Since I don’t go to school full-time anymore (that took up 32 hours of my week) I’ve been keeping myself busy. This past weekend I celebrated my graduation with my bffs from Larkspur.
I know not everyone has the same experience going through school, whether if it’s for cosmetology or esthetics. Typically with these types of programs there is a lot of drama (get a bunch of women together that that’s what happens). However, in my case, I was lucky enough to be with a wonderful group of ladies. Something just “clicked” and I made some great friends. Although I’m ready for the next step in my life, I’ll miss my friends so much.
Although I’ve completed school, I still have to take my boards to get my esthetics license. It’ll probably be about a month before I have to take that. I’m ready, bring it!
On to the next step!
