^If you read that entire description, then I applaud you. I’ll admit, I didn’t even make it to the end. That’s quite a bit of claims you have there, Ole. Sounds like you have some big shoes to fill.
When I first used this product, I used it over a moisturizer (just like I do with my other BB and CC creams) and it didn’t work out. It really felt heavy and made me super shiny (even after I put powder over it). So, the next time I tried it I did it over a serum, but no added moisturizer. I have to say, this provides the same amount of moisture as a regular moisturizer. It’s a medium coverage, comparable to the PTR CC Cream. It instantly takes out any redness in my skin, but I still need concealer to cover my under eye circles and any blemishes. It’s very creamy and has a thicker consistency compared to all of the other BB’s and CC’s that I’ve tried. I prefer applying it with a brush (my go-to) as opposed to my fingers because of it’s thicker consistency.
The finish is more dewy and glow-y. I imagine dryer skin types will love the way this feels and looks, but that finish usually scares away us combo/oily people. I’ll admit, I’ve worn both liquid and powder foundation over this and my skin still gets shiny mid-day. However, I love the way it makes my skin feel and the amount of hydration it provides. And the fact that it has 5 sources of vitamin C makes me a very happy girl inside. I’ve been using this as my morning moisturizer and makeup primer, I just have to make sure to do a mid-day blot on my face. I put up with the oily-ness because I like the skincare benefits so much, but I would understand why that would scare away oily/combo skin types from using this. There is also a limited color selection (light and medium). The light is pretty yellow and the medium is more neutral. It really doesn’t cater to cool, fair skin tones or dark skin tones.
At the end of the day, I really feel like this product does what it claims to do: brighten, protect, and perfect the skin. Bonus: It smells like oranges (just like their Truth Serum)!
