As a makeup junkie, I tend to get caught up in the cosmetic world. If you are new to makeup or just want to spruce up your beauty regimen, it’s hard to know where to start. Beauty blogs are a great resource but may be intimidating to the “average” reader. That’s where my new series comes in:

$7 MAC Paint Pots?

It seems like I’m always in a hurry in the mornings. After I get done washing my face, I slap some primer on my face and lids, throw on some random colors from my Naked Palette and finish the rest in the car. Wouldn’t it be nice to find an eyeshadow that’s also a primer? Well, I’ve found just that.

Monistat Chafing Gel vs. Smashbox Photo Finish Primers

These two products are said to be very similar, even some people on MakeupAlley would argue that they’re exactly the same. While the chafing gel is obviously not meant to be used as a primer, someone, somewhere, somehow decided to use this on their face. And isn’t it always great to find a great beauty product with a low price tag? So to say that this $7 gel works the same as the Smashbox $36 primer… is it too good to be true?
